Moonwalk

Who does not know the "moonwalk", which made history as a trademark of Michael Jackson ?! But what else does the dance step tell besides Billie Jean, Thriller or Bad? About the perfect illusion of weightlessness - a walk on the moon.

The Japanese choreographer Kenji Shinohe deals with this phenomenon and breaks up the dance step together with the young hip-hop ensemble. Shinohe negotiates the issues of weightlessness and gravity with the five young dancers, drawing on their personal backgrounds, perspectives and everyday experiences.
