URBAN ART Festival

Urban arts are the most influential trends in the current cultural landscape - and are a strength of the Ruhr metropolis with its 53 cities and over 5 million inhabitants from all over the world. In 2023, Pottporus initiated the Urban Arts Ruhr project office, which works on the long-term visibility, anchoring and professionalization of the diverse art forms in the Ruhr metropolis. The project office is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the "Neue Künste Ruhr" program.

The Urban Arts project office - that's Ateş Kaykilar, Emil Imdahl and Elikem Anyigba, directly from the scene for the scene. As a team, they act as an information and interface for the urban arts scene and as mediators, formulating the interests and needs of these art forms to the public and politicians. At the same time, they establish regional and (inter)national contacts for the visibility of urban arts and are active in maintaining networks.

For you as an artist in the scene, this means that you need rooms for workshops or training sessions, information on funding programs such as Neue Künste Ruhr, advice on a project idea, want to present yourself, network and exchange ideas ...  - check out what the Urban Arts project office has to offer and drop by!
