Who am I without the others? Who am I to my group? Who would I like to be? And above all, who am I when no one is watching? The eight young dancers of the AERIALS ensemble get to the bottom of these questions in their new piece.

Under the choreographic direction of Miracle Laackmann and entitled ‘SELF-TALKS’, the AERIALS explore self-perception and the associated confrontations and inner conflicts. We are actually all familiar with self-talk - even if we don't usually realise it because it takes place in our heads. A kind of inner voice connects our conscious thoughts with less conscious beliefs and attitudes. Self-talk can help us to assess situations and solve problems. But what happens when our inner voice is characterised by negativity and self-doubt?
